Software Engineer, Trading Operations - Hedge Fund
Firm is Hiring a Software Engineer to join the Trading Operations team at a fast-moving hedge fund in Manhattan. This is a hands-on role focused on building and maintaining the systems that drive portfolio management, trade execution, and reporting.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and maintain trading and portfolio management systems
- Support trade generation, execution, and booking workflows
- Build internal tools for reporting and operations
- Collaborate with traders and operations teams
- Opportunity to contribute to research projects, including AI trading models (based on experience)
What We’re Looking For
- BSc (MSc preferred) in Computer Science, Math, Statistics, or related field
- Proficiency in at least one language: C#, C
- Solid understanding of databases and system design
- Strong math skills and basic statistics knowledge
- 2 years of software development experience preferred
- Comfortable working independently and owning production systems
- Motivated to learn new technologies and tools
- Willing to work in-office in Manhattan 4 days per week
