This role sits within a Reference Data team focused on building the platforms, pipelines, and tooling that provide traders and researchers with reliable access to critical datasets. Reference data is a major part of the position, covering the onboarding, management, and distribution of data that supports research and trading decisions across the business.
The team is investing heavily in new infrastructure to support a growing mid-frequency trading platform, creating significant ownership and greenfield opportunities. You'll help shape core systems, make architectural decisions, and solve scaling challenges in an environment where performance, reliability, and data quality directly impact trading outcomes.
Engineering sits alongside trading and research as a core function of the business. You'll work closely with traders, quants, and researchers across multiple asset classes, building systems that support strategy development and investment decisions.
The ideal background is strong Python engineering experience combined with large-scale data platform expertise. Experience with reference data, market data, Spark, Airflow, Argo, or similar distributed data technologies is highly relevant, alongside strong software engineering fundamentals and systems-level thinking.
Base salary is $175k–$225k depending on experience, plus a discretionary bonus
