Principal Software Engineer Opportunity
You get to own the architecture, set the standards, and actually shape how a manufacturing business runs at its core. You lead the design and delivery of the most complex initiatives on the platform, end to end. You define the architectural patterns. You set the engineering standards. You also bring others up with you. Senior and mid-level engineers look to you for technical direction and mentorship, so your influence extends well beyond your own output.
You have a real opportunity to influence and govern a much larger part of IT and business operations across the company. The technical work itself is broad and modern. You are building across the full stack, backend services, APIs, distributed systems, integrations, and web applications using React and TypeScript. You are also doing serious AI work, designing and delivering AI-enabled applications that use retrieval-augmented generation, agents, structured outputs, tool integrations, and evaluation frameworks. You are fluent with AI-assisted development tools like GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or Claude Code and you use them well.
You bring at least ten years of progressive software engineering experience with you, and your .NET and C# expertise runs deep across the entire stack. This is a hybrid role in manufacturing, which means you are close enough to real operations to see your work matter.
This is an initial contract engagement and is hybrid in the NYC area. Potential opportunity for conversion to full time.

Salary : $85 - $115
