Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to support our educational team in fostering a positive learning environment for students. Responsibilities
- Assist teachers in preparing and delivering instructional materials tailored to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Support classroom management by maintaining a positive and orderly environment conducive to learning.
- Work closely with students, providing individualized attention and assistance as needed, particularly for those with disabilities or special educational needs.
- Facilitate small group activities and engage students in hands-on learning experiences.
- Monitor student progress and behavior, implementing behavior management strategies as necessary.
- Help maintain a safe and clean classroom environment, ensuring that all materials are organized and accessible.
- Communicate effectively with teachers regarding student progress, challenges, and any concerns that may arise.
- Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills related to early childhood education.
Requirements
- Experience working with children in various capacities such as childcare, daycare, or preschool settings is preferred.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and practices.
- Familiarity with special education strategies and working with individuals with disabilities is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and staff members.
- First aid certification is desirable; willingness to obtain certification if not currently held.
- Previous experience in classroom management or teaching assistance is advantageous.
- Ability to demonstrate patience, empathy, and understanding when working with young learners.
