Team Coach/Gym Director

Competitive Gymnastics and/or Competitive Gymnastics Coaching Experience Required.

Minimum: 5 coaching hours per week, coaching at meets, and administrative work

Maximum: 30-40 hours per week, coaching at meets, coaching other classes and teams, and administrative work

Responsibilities include:

• managing time, schedule, and a small number of staff
• being a positive role model
• inspiring gymnasts and staff
• showing up for scheduled shifts
• arriving on time

• being positive, cheerful, supportive, and encouraging
• training, leading, and subbing as needed for warmups and stretches and for some of the classes
• training, leading, and subbing to teach vault, uneven bars, balance beam, and/or floor exercise skills, drills, and conditioning
• improving gymnast technique, form, and routines
• keeping facility clean at all times
• attending, planning, and/or leading staff training
• guiding coaches
• problem-solving with staff
• communicating with parents
• managing competitive team classes and possibly those classes leading to team
• planning as needed
• attending and coaching at meets
