- As a key member of the Paper Machine team, you will lead safety initiatives that ensure an accident-free and safe workplace.
- You will lead your team’s efforts to deliver machine productivity goals at low cost, meet all environmental regulations and continuously improve operational efficiency.
- You will manage the day-to-day operations and lead the shift crew with effective communication, problem-solving, teamwork and administrative skills to meet site objectives.
- You will work in conjunction with maintenance personnel to ensure equipment uptime, reliability and asset life in your area of responsibility.
- Meet or exceed departmental safety and environmental objectives.
- Meet or exceed targeted paper production, quality, and cost of manufacture goals.
- Manage a diverse, highly skilled workforce in a team-oriented, self-directed environment to meet the business needs of the organization.
- Develop good working relationships with employees at all levels of the organization in both operations and maintenance departments.
- Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering or another related engineering field, or equivalent
- 3 years supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated ability to achieve results through people
- Strong Safety Leadership
