- 11:00 AM – 7:30 PM

Are you a proactive, detail-oriented individual looking to make a difference in the healthcare industry? We are seeking a Materials Expeditor to join a local hospital in a long term temporary role.
As a Materials Expeditor, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of equipment in a fast-paced medical environment. Your responsibilities will encompass equipment decontamination, setup, operational verification, and timely delivery to patient areas. Additionally, you'll be involved in minor equipment repairs and collaborate closely with Clinical Engineering for major repairs.

Key Responsibilities:
- Decontaminate, set up, and verify the operation of equipment for issuance.
- Coordinate the collection, processing, and accurate, prompt delivery of equipment to patient areas.
- Perform minor equipment repairs and escalate major repair issues to the Clinical Engineering department.
- Assist Supply Assistants in prioritizing work based on incoming requests.
- Complete written and verbal shift reports to ensure effective communication.
- Manage telephone inquiries and provide a warm welcome to visitors and customers.
- Monitor calls and the call database for completeness and accuracy.
- Report equipment unavailability to units and department staff via OnDemandOrder updates.
- Conduct data entry and perform information lookups using computer systems.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Basic computer skills and proficiency in data entry.
- Previous experience in a similar role, especially in a medical or healthcare setting, is a plus.
