Accounting Specialist

Onsite | Auburn, NY | $30–35/hr | Temp-to-Hire

Join a stable, growing manufacturer in Auburn, NY as an Accounting Specialist supporting a high volume, fast-paced finance environment.

This is a full-time, onsite role, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, with a paid lunch. This position reports directly to the CFO and offers the opportunity to convert to a hired-on salaried position with approximately four weeks of combined PTO (vacation, holidays, and sick time).

What You Will Do

• Own day to day accounting functions with a strong focus on Accounts Payable
• (AP is currently handled by Supply Chain and will transition to this role).
• Process a high volume of transactions accurately and on time.
• Maintain reconciliations, records, and audit ready documentation.
• Support general ledger work and month end tasks as assigned by the CFO and Controller.
• Work in the company ERP (IQMS) to manage and track financial data.
• Partner with finance, operations, and supply chain to resolve issues and keep information flowing smoothly.

What You Need

• Strong Excel skills (sorting, filtering, pivot tables, lookups, and general data work are a must).
• Experience in manufacturing or another high transaction environment strongly preferred.
• Ability to quickly learn and use IQMS or a similar ERP system.
• High attention to detail, strong accuracy, and excellent organizational skills.
• Professional communication, reliability, and comfort interacting with leadership.

Schedule and Pay

• Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm (40 hours per week), paid lunch
• Location: Onsite in Auburn, NY (five days per week; hybrid may be considered in the future)
• Pay: $30 to $35 per hour, temp to hire
• Benefits upon conversion: Approximately four weeks of combined PTO (vacation, holidays, and sick time)
