Under supervised professional and skilled guidance, our CNAs give direct nursing care to assigned residents and perform other services necessary for their personal and comforts needs. Responsibilities:
· Promotes resident hygiene and comfort.
· Distributes food/water and feeds residents.
· Assists with repositioning and transferring residents.
· Ambulates and transports residents.
· Records and totals fluid intake and output.
· Weighs residents.
· Documents on flow sheets.
· Assists with admission, discharge and postmortem care.
· Responds to call lights in a timely manner.
· Performs perineal care and uncomplicated colostomy care.
· Reports all observations & assessments to the Team Leader/Nurse Manager/Charge Nurse.
· Takes and records vital signs.
· Makes beds and keeps resident’s units clean and in order.
· Prepares room for housekeeping after resident discharge.
Requirements:
NY CNA Certification
Prior skilled nursing is a PLUS!
