What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Inspector position at Saporito Finishing Company?
This position is for second Quality Inspector with the following responsibilities:
1. Inspection and approval of all jobs which require inspection by the Quality Department for completeness of all purchase orders and blueprint requirements per the established inspection instructions.
2. Maintenance of issued inspection stamps.
3. Obtaining and maintenance of drawings, specifications, and Quality Assurance forms including points of issue and recall and removal of obsolete drawings, specifications, and forms from the system.
4. Generation of Defective Material Reports and Returned Material Reports
5. Interpretation of inspection data.
6. Signing off on certificates of compliance in the absence of the Quality Director.
7. Review of customer purchase orders and blueprints in terms of specification requirements for both order entry and quotation purposes.
8. Upkeep of calibration board and issuance of a purchase order for calibration of test equipment to maintain that no out-of-calibration instruments are used for product acceptance.
9. Proper storage of all inspection test instruments.
10. Maintaining a clean work environment in the inspection offices.
11. Ensuring that all shop orders are properly filled out and complete.
12. First article inspection and documentation when required.
13. Order entry and generation of shop orders as required.
14. Re-inspection of reworked rejected material.
15. Inspection of all subcontracted orders.
16. Auditing of processes
17. Contact customers when required.
18. Other jobs as instructed by Saporito management.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per day
