Duties

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements using reservation systems such as OpenTable or similar platforms.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders, utilizing POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS to ensure seamless transactions.
• Provide detailed menu descriptions, recommend specials, and upsell items to enhance the guest experience and increase sales.
• Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of food safety, sanitation, and presentation.
• Manage guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns quickly, and ensuring overall satisfaction throughout the dining experience.
• Clear tables efficiently by bussing and resetting for the next guests, maintaining cleanliness and organization in the dining area.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food preparation and delivery, ensuring timely service in a fine dining or nightclub setting.
• Handle cash transactions accurately, perform basic math calculations for bills, and process payments using POS systems.
• Uphold sanitation standards by following proper food handling procedures and maintaining cleanliness in all service areas.
• Assist with host/hostess duties when needed, managing waitlists and guest flow to optimize seating efficiency.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant experience with a strong background in food service or hospitality environments.
• Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with OpenTable is a plus.
• Culinary experience or knowledge of food preparation enhances your ability to serve confidently.
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
• Strong sales skills with an aptitude for upselling menu items to maximize guest satisfaction and revenue.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures.
• Experience working in fine dining establishments or nightclubs is preferred but not required.
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Basic math skills for cashiering and cash handling responsibilities.
