Event Photographer - August 2026

Hub7 Creation, part of Sap Brands, is hiring Contract Event Photographers to cover the Iowa State Fair this August in Des Moines, Iowa.

Hub7 Creation is a content creation firm specializing in

design, production and social media management in the fields of sports, gaming, entertainment and commerce, among others. While many of our contracts come from businesses, we also strive to use our time and talent to benefit individuals and nonprofits in our communities nationally.

The primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Maintaining utmost professionalism at all times

- Utilize equipment to take still photos and action shots

- Note certain activity levels and send accurate reports

- In some cases, approaching guests and respectfully asking to take photo/video/audio

- Some minor editing and administrative tasks where necessary

The successful candidate will align with our mission and meet some or all of the qualifications below:

- High School Diploma or GED

- Minimum three years media/content experience

- Minimum of one large-scale event/fair covered

- Must have your own quality equipment to utilize

- Must be available for the duration of our contract (August 10, 2026 to August 23, 2026)

- Willingness to work varying hours, including early mornings, late nights, weekends and holidays

- Note, most events occur on Thursday, Friday and

Saturday nights

- EditorX, Final Cut or other editing software experience is a plus

- Positive attitude and ability to engage well with others is a must

- Must pass security requirements implemented by the Iowa State Fair to receive Credentials, including a Federal Secret Service background check.

The compensation range for this position is $39.00 to $45.00 per hour, depending on candidate value. Candidate must be located in Des Moines or willing to relocate at own expense. Hours are approximately 15-25 hours per week.
