Duties
- Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards
- Assist in menu planning by suggesting new dishes and improvements based on customer feedback
- Maintain proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and hygiene at all times
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives, stoves, ovens, and prep stations
- Support food service operations by plating dishes promptly and accurately for service
- Follow food safety protocols to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate meal preparation during busy service hours
- Punctuality and reliability are a must
Experience
- Previous kitchen experience in a restaurant or food industry setting is highly preferred
- Familiarity with dietary department procedures and dietary aide experience is a plus
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in food preparation techniques are essential
- Experience in menu planning, catering, or large-scale meal preparation is advantageous
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling practices is required
