Job Summary
Join Santo Mezcal as a Food Runner/Busser, where you'll play a vital role in delivering exceptional guest experiences. In this energetic position, you will ensure smooth food service operations by efficiently running food from the kitchen to tables, clearing and resetting tables, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help create memorable dining moments for our guests, supporting our commitment to outstanding customer service and hospitality excellence. Must be able to work mornings/nights/weekends.
Duties
- Safely transport food orders from the kitchen to guest tables using proper manual handling and safe lifting practices.
- Clear used dishes, glassware, and utensils promptly after guests finish their meals, ensuring a tidy dining area.
- Assist servers by bussing tables efficiently, resetting them with clean linens, utensils, and condiments for incoming guests.
- Maintain cleanliness in all dining areas, including sweeping, wiping down surfaces, and sanitizing as needed to uphold food safety standards.
- Support food preparation and service by assisting kitchen staff with light tasks when required.
- Use Toast POS system to process orders or communicate with team members when necessary.
- Provide friendly in-person customer service by greeting guests, answering questions about menu items, and ensuring guest satisfaction throughout their visit.
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, including bussing or food running roles.
- Strong knowledge of food handling procedures and food safety regulations.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling safely during busy service periods.
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and interact positively with guests.
- Familiarity with POS systems is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and guest care.
