Summary Of Position
This dual-role position integrates essential administrative operations with in-facility health support services. The CHR Administrative Assistant supports the delivery of public health services, health education, and culturally appropriate care within the department, while providing critical clerical support to ensure the efficient daily operation of the CHR Program.

Summary Of Position
This dual-role position integrates essential administrative operations with in-facility health support services. The CHR Administrative Assistant supports the delivery of public health services, health education, and culturally appropriate care within the department, while providing critical clerical support to ensure the efficient daily operation of the CHR Program.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent plus a minimum of one year of CHR experience with the following competencies and certifications.
- Knowledgeable of a holistic approach to individual and community health legislation, theories, practices, and procedures, as well as traditional medicine and medical terminology.
- Must hold or obtain certifications within 90 days of employment: Indian Health Service - Community Health Representative (CHR) Basic 100-Hour Course Certification New Mexico Department of Health (NMDOH) Community Health Worker (CHW) certification CPR & First Aid Certification Indian Health Service Confidentiality training (HIPAA and Privacy Act Policy), New Mexico Health Care Authority (HCA) Presumptive Eligibility Determiner (PED) certification
- Must hold or obtain within 6-months days of employment: Car Seat Technician Certification, New Mexico State First Responder Certification
- Fluent in Keres language preferred.
- Must have the ability to translate and interpret written or verbal medical/health education information in English into Keres and vice versa.
- Valid New Mexico driver's license with ability to meet Santo Domingo Pueblo liability insurance requirements; must maintain eligibility for insurance;
- Must successfully pass a new hire background check, MVR check, and drug test.
- Must maintain confidentiality; extended working hours, including weekends, may be required.
