Job Summary:
The Part-Time Warehouse Coordinator will coordinate the activities and operations of the warehouse, and work in tandem with the logistics and sales teams to ensure accurate stock and inventory counts.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinates and schedules the movement of products throughout the warehouse including storage and shipment of finished products.
- Manages daily flow of finished products by modifying storage space assignments.
- Confirms counts of items to be shipped by verifying inventory records or conducting inventories of required items.
- Identifies and reports slow-moving product
- Manually handles, repacks, or restacks pallets of finished product as needed.
- Operates forklift truck
- Documents all related activities and completes forms and reports.
- Assists inventory manager with cycle counts
- Processes inbound and outbound shipments
- Coordinates with Counter Sales team to keep store shelves stocked and rotated
- Fill customer propane tanks
- Routinely communicate inventory levels to inventory manager and logistics team
- Performs other related duties as directed.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Basic understanding of or ability to quickly learn company product codes and terminology.
- Thorough understanding of warehouse policies and procedures.
- Prior forklift experience
- Good analytical skills and ability to make sound judgments relative to inventory.
- Prior oil, gas or lube experience preferred but not required
Physical Demands:
- Regularly required to lift up to 50 pounds
- Stand and walk for up to 8 hours a day
Work Environment:
This position operates in a warehouse and retail environment occasionally operating heavy machinery. Employees for this position should expect to work on their feet for much of the shift, with or without a reasonable accommodation. The ability to control the shop temperature is limited and impacted by seasons and weather.
