Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and energetic Painter to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying paint, coatings, and finishes to various surfaces across residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Your expertise will ensure that all surfaces are prepared meticulously, painted flawlessly, and finished to the highest standards. Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces thoroughly by cleaning, sanding, caulking, drywall repair, plastering, and surface priming to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
- Interpret technical drawings and specifications to determine appropriate painting methods and materials for each project.
- Apply paint using various techniques including brush painting, roller painting, conventional spray painting, airless paint spraying, and construction spray painting.
- Use hand tools and power tools effectively for surface preparation and fixture installation.
- Execute structural painting tasks such as masonry, stucco application, concrete finishing, and restoration work with precision.
- Maintain strict adherence to safety regulations by utilizing respiratory protection, harnesses when working at heights with ladders or scaffolding, and following all safety protocol guidelines.
- Select appropriate coatings based on project requirements while ensuring quality control through visual color comparison and surface inspection.
- Collaborate with team members to interpret technical drawings and ensure project specifications are met within scheduled timelines.
- Assist in renovation projects by performing drywall installation or repair, trim carpentry, framing, masonry work, or fixture installation as needed.
Experience
- Proven experience in construction painting across residential, commercial, or industrial settings with a solid understanding of surface preparation techniques.
- Familiarity with construction estimating processes and interpreting technical drawings or blueprints.
- Hands-on experience with various painting tools including paint sprayers (conventional and airless), brushes, rollers, hand tools, power tools, and scaffolding or ladder use.
- Knowledge of safety regulations related to construction site work including respiratory protection and safe handling of hazardous materials.
- Experience in renovation or restoration projects involving drywall repair, plastering, stucco application, masonry work or concrete finishing is highly desirable.
- Basic math skills for measuring surfaces accurately and calculating material quantities efficiently.
- Strong background in construction site experience with an emphasis on quality craftsmanship and safety compliance.
- Bilingual (English & Spanish)
