What are the responsibilities and job description for the Food Expeditor - New Braunfels position at Santikos Entertainment?
OVERVIEW
Maintain a smooth workflow between the kitchen and our guests. Partner with our kitchen and theater teams to deliver accurately prepared orders to our guests in a fast-paced environment and efficiently use our Apex delivery system.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure the efficient follow of orders from the POS system to the kitchen
- Prepare small dishes, including pizza preparation
- Check dishes for accuracy, presentation, and temperature
- Ensure orders are being prepared with the correct priority
- Inspect the premises according to quality and sanitation standards; assist in cleaning
- Send out notification to guests for order pickup via the Apex system
- Perform quality control of all food items
- Assist with any guest questions or concerns
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Prior work experience as a food expeditor or work in a restaurant setting preferred
SKILLS, ABILITIES, & KNOWLEDGE
- Outgoing, friendly guest service orientation
- Ability to work holidays, some nights, and weekends
- Understanding of health and safety rules and practices
- Outstanding coordination and multi-tasking abilities
- Dexterity in using kitchen equipment or utensils and carry heavy trays
- Excellent communication skills and willingness to cooperate as part of a team
- Disciplined work ethic, reliable attendance, high integrity, and honesty
- Ability to stand or walk up to 6 hours at a time and repeatedly bend, stoop, or walk stairs
- Ability to lift 30 – 40 pounds
