NCLB TESTING:(If required by job description) Applicants applying for a position requiring NCLB certification, and who are not NCLB compliant, must pass the Santee School District’s NCLB Proficiency Test. The two-hour District Proficiency Test will be given MOST Weekdays, between 9:00 am – 1:00 pm, at the District Office. 3121 ALTERNATIVE SOCIAL SECURITY PLAN (FICA) (Applies to ALL NEW part-time classified employees working less than (4) hours per day) Contributions to the 3121 Alternative Social Security Plan made by the District and all new part-time employees will take the place of contributions to Social Security (FICA). Internal Revenue Code Section 3121 provides an alternative to social security as a retirement program for part-time, temporary, and seasonal employees (“3121 Plan”). Employer and employee contributions that would normally be paid to FICA will instead be directed to a qualifying account similar to an IRA (Individualized Retirement Account) or a 403b/457b TSA (Tax Sheltered Annuity) account.
