Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide personalized assistance to help them find suitable products based on their needs and preferences
- Educate customers about product features, effects, consumption methods, and proper usage through engaging product demos and clear communication
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system efficiently to process retail sales transactions, handle cash register operations, and manage cash drawer handling with accuracy
- Upsell complementary products and promote ongoing promotions to maximize sales opportunities
- Maintain stock levels by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and conducting regular inventory checks to ensure product availability
- Conduct merchandising activities to create attractive product displays that enhance customer engagement and sales
- Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when responding to inquiries or taking orders remotely
Qualifications
- Prior retail sales experience, preferably in grocery stores or similar customer-focused environments
- Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership skills and team collaboration abilities
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling procedures, and retail math calculations for accurate transactions
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain product details clearly and confidently; bilingual abilities are highly valued
- Experience in product demos, upselling techniques, and merchandising strategies to drive sales growth
- Knowledge of retail store product knowledge, including cannabis or related wellness products is advantageous but not mandatory
- Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly demeanor and professional phone etiquette
- Ability to handle stock management tasks such as stocking shelves and organizing displays efficiently
