Senior Supervisor, Internal Audit Quality Assurance

Join a dynamic team that plays a crucial role in the success of our organization. As a Senior Supervisor in Internal Audit Quality Assurance, you will assist in evaluating and enhancing internal audit practices while supporting the team in delivering excellence in daily operations. This role will also provide an opportunity to collaborate with our Corporate Office in Madrid, Spain, to drive innovation and implement best practices in internal auditing.

Your responsibilities will include :

  • Conducting thorough reviews of completed and ongoing audit projects to ensure compliance with internal audit methodologies, regulatory requirements, and professional standards, with the aim of effectively communicating results to stakeholders.
  • Performing targeted horizontal reviews of Internal Audit activities.
  • Assisting the QA Manager in planning reviews and drafting findings and memos.
  • Carrying out timely validation testing to evaluate the effectiveness of corrective actions related to QA recommendations.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives, including refining methodologies to align with the Institute of Internal Auditors' Global Standards, regulatory expectations, and industry best practices.
  • Developing and facilitating training programs to convey updates or enhancements in internal audit methodologies to the team.
  • Influencing audit methodology initiatives based on QA results and ongoing feedback.
  • Monitoring and reporting QA trends and themes to identify improvement opportunities within the department.
  • Addressing ad hoc inquiries related to audit methodologies from auditors.
  • Proactively analyzing updates to IIA Standards, industry developments, and regulatory expectations.
  • Being a key player in strategic internal audit initiatives, including the utilization of data innovation to enhance audit efficiencies.

Qualifications : To be successful in this role, you should possess the following :

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
  • 5 years of audit or relevant experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently.
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Effective time management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Solid diplomatic skills to address conflicts constructively.
  • Proven leadership and teamwork abilities.

    Working Conditions : The position involves minimal physical effort, with occasional lifting up to fifty pounds and the ability to bend, kneel, and climb ladders as needed to support onsite and offsite meeting setups.
