What are the responsibilities and job description for the Elf Medical Responder position at Santa's Village Inc?
Purpose
The Elf Medical Responder provides first aid to Santa’s Village guests and employees in both emergent and non-emergent situations. This position requires close contact with the public, the ability to work well with co-workers, and assists Santa’s guests in a safe, courteous, and efficient manner. For the 2025 summer season, we are looking to hire this candidate for 3 days per week.
Functions and Responsibilities
- Responds to First Aid calls throughout the park in and efficient manner
- Ensures safety of all employees and guests
- Keeps inventory of all necessary medical supplies
- Communicates daily with other employees via handheld radio
- Greets guests courteously and answers guest questions appropriately
- Maintain a positive attitude
- Arrive at work on time, in “good show,” and keeps neat and clean throughout the day
- Ensures clean work areas in public and storage areas
- Other duties as assigned
Knowledge and Skills
- Must hold a current NREMT certification of EMR or higher
- Must also be licensed within the state of New Hampshire
- Must have knowledge of current New Hampshire Emergency Medical Services protocols.
- Must possess a courteous and friendly rapport with guests and co-workers
- Possess good organizational skills and good leadership skills
- Have interpersonal/communication skills orally and in written language
- Remain calm in emergent situations
Extent of Public Contact
The Elf Medical Responder will respond to first aid calls or medical emergencies without delay. This position will respond to guest questions and provide excellent customer services.
Physical Demands
Much of the workday consists of standing and walking. Elf Medical Responders frequently traverse the park pathways during the operating day. Must be able to lift at least 20 pounds on a regular basis.
Working Conditions and Environment
Daytime and Christmastime position which may include weekends and holidays. Position is indoors and outdoors in all types of weather.
