Registered Veterinary Technician

Santa Rosa Veterinary Hospital is growing, and we are seeking an experienced Registered Veterinary Technician to become the next member of our team! Our full-service general practice serves cats, dogs and exotic pets, making this an excellent choice for those seeking to work with a variety of species.Your responsibilities will include preparing animals for surgery, monitoring anesthesia, performing dental prophies, and providing thorough client education with professionalism and compassion. You will help manage hospital flow by preparing and rooming patients for the doctor, as well as managing a variety of technician appointments with skill and efficiency. This role is ideal for technicians who want to fully utilize their skills in both outpatient and surgical settings while also enjoying meaningful client engagement and the satisfaction of working with a supportive, close-knit team.This is a flexible full-time or part-time position with 8 hour shifts scheduled Monday through Friday and no weekends.Full-time benefits and compensation**:Compensation: $30-34 per hour, for each hour worked*Bonus package: $2000CE allowance: up to $1,000 annually based on tenureHealth package: Medical, dental, and vision insurance (United Healthcare or Kaiser Permanente)Life insurance, disability, and 401k optionsEmployee Assistance ProgramPaid time off in accordance with site policy and applicable lawPersonal pet discountMinimum qualifications and skill set:3 years of veterinary experience in a clinical settingCurrent Registered Veterinary Technician License in the state of CaliforniaProficiency in the following skills:Venipuncture, placing IV catheters and administering injectionsRadiology positioning and techniqueSurgical prep, assistance and anesthetic monitoringDental prophy, charting, radiographs and extractionsExotic animal handlingAbout us:At Santa Rosa Veterinary Hospital, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional care to pets in our community.
