Overview
The Courtesy Clerk/Facer is responsible for customer grocery carry-out, assisting the customer in locating merchandise items throughout the store, ensuring orders are complete, providing the customer with a ?positive last impression? and maintain organization of shelves. Typical shifts vary from 10 am ? 10 pm. Must be 18 years of age or older to apply.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Bags customers' groceries in a neat, orderly fashion
- Help customers to their cars with their groceries
- Always maintains a cheerful, helpful attitude toward customers and other employees
- Maintains cleanliness of store and restrooms
- Verifies prices for cashiers
- Collect shopping carts from the parking lot
- Assists with ?go backs?
- Accompanying customers to locate merchandise
- Facing shelves ? fill partial boxes and pull empty cardboard
- Fill cold cases ? Meat, Dairy, Eggs
Job Qualifications
- Ability to lift, bend and grasp
- Ability to work in outdoor parking lot, including ability to be exposed to weather conditions, including extreme heat or cold and rain
- Maintain high standards of safety within department and store
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to understand and follow instructions, and ability to read, retain and comprehend guidelines, policies and procedures applicable to the position
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently as well as within a team
- Self-motivated and driven to increase knowledge of products and share that knowledge with our customers?
- Ability to provide regular and predictable attendance. (Employees may be scheduled to work early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays, and schedules may vary on a weekly basis)
