Job Summary
Head Coach – High School: The Head Coach for High School athletic teams is responsible for various aspects of the Athletic Program, such as recruiting within the school, maintaining a program budget, scheduling opponents (in conjunction with the Athletic Director), training, and coaching team members. The Head Coach is required to abide by the CIF/NFHS rules and regulations as well as the rules and regulations set by the Santa Rosa Academy School Board of Directors and the athletic administration at Santa Rosa Academy. Head Coaches will perform these essential functions listed: • Manage and supervise athletic activities, contests, and practice sessions • to Promote individual growth in athletic skills, teamwork, discipline, respect, and good sportsmanship • Work with other members of school staff to plan and put in place instructional goals and objectives to ensure the overall educational development of student athletes • Monitor and enforce student eligibility criteria for extracurricular participation in accordance with Santa Rosa Academy’s academic eligibility training rules • Keep an accurate record of all uniforms/equipment checked out to each athlete • Verify season schedule, modes of transportation, and times with the Athletic Director • Submit team rosters to Athletic Director • Report all scores to Athletic Director the morning following the contests
