Job Summary:
The School Director will oversee the day-to-day operations of the school, ensuring compliance with state licensing regulations, supporting staff, engaging with families, and promoting a safe and enriching learning environment. This role is ideal for someone who is both people-oriented and operationally strong, with a deep understanding of early childhood education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and support teachers and staff to maintain a high-quality educational program.
- Ensure compliance with Texas Child Care Licensing Minimum Standards.
- Oversee staff scheduling, hiring, training, and development.
- Build positive relationships with families and respond to their needs and concerns.
- Maintain accurate administrative and licensing documentation.
- Organize school events, staff meetings, and parent communications.
- Lead with compassion, consistency, and professionalism.
- Support classroom operations when needed.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2–3 years experience in a childcare leadership role (e.g. Director or Assistant Director).
- Knowledge of Texas CCR licensing standards and procedures.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- High school diploma or GED required (Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred).
- Must be Director Certified by Texas Child Care Licensing or eligible to become certified.
- CPR/First Aid certified (or willing to obtain upon hire).
