Santa Monica Seafood, a family-owned company, has been in the seafood business for over 80 years. We are searching for experienced warehouse fresh room, dock and freezer associates who can help us achieve our planned growth by providing excellent customer service. Qualifications: High energy and enthusiastic. High school diploma or equivalent required, excellent time management, organizational, problem solving and communications skills required; ability to multitask and prioritize; ability to work individually and as a part of a team; must have a high level of accuracy and be detail oriented; mature, professional attitude; must have a consistent work history and excellent safety record. Must be able to lift 75 pounds. Must be able to work in cold and wet environment. This is a Full-time position with competitive pay depending on experience, competitive benefit package to include:401(k), Paid Vacation Time, Paid Sick Time, and Paid Personal Days.
Sundays through Thursday 9am - 5pm
Duties include:
- Receiving and unloading of incoming product
- Inspects fresh product returns and ensures proper handling.
- Pulls and packs product based on daily orders.
- Meets specifics of customer orders in a timely manner.
- Keeps products separated, organized and in good rotation.
- Monitors product quality frequently, reporting problems to mitigate safety issues.
- Operates various pieces of equipment (Bendi, Dolly Loader, Pallet Wrapper, Forklift)
- Reports any mechanical problems.
- Maintains a clean, sanitary and safe work area.
- Completes daily checklists.
- High level of accuracy and detail oriented
- Responsible for ensuring adherence to Federal and State safety regulations.
- Other duties as assigned by Plant Manager
Work experience & requirements:
- Previous warehouse experience required
- Basic computer skills preferred.
- Ability to lift 75 lbs & 100 lbs required.
- Ability to withstand cold & wet environment, with concrete floors.
Education requirements:
High school diploma or GED
