Corporate Receptionist

Santa Monica Seafood Company is a leading family-owned seafood distributor with a nationwide presence. Our corporate headquarters in Rancho Dominguez serves as the nerve center for our operations across the country. We are seeking a professional and personable Corporate Receptionist to be the face of our company and manage our front desk operations.

 Work Schedule:  Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM - Please note this role is unable to be performed remotely.

Pay Rate: $23.00 an hour -  $25.00 an hour  DOE

 Job Overview:

As our Corporate Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for visitors, clients, and vendors at our headquarters. You will play a crucial role in creating a positive first impression and ensuring smooth office operations.

 Key Responsibilities:

• Greet and welcome visitors, clients, and vendors in a professional and friendly manner

• Manage the front desk, including answering and directing phone calls, and handling incoming and outgoing mail and packages

• Maintain security protocols by issuing visitor badges and ensuring all guests sign in and out

• Schedule and coordinate meetings, including preparing conference rooms and arranging catering when needed

• Assist with basic administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and document preparation

• Manage office supplies inventory and place orders as needed

• Coordinate travel arrangements for executives and staff as required

• Maintain a clean and organized reception area

• Support other departments with clerical tasks as needed

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree preferred

• 3 years of experience in a receptionist or administrative role, preferably in a corporate environment

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

• Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask

• Professional appearance and demeanor

• Experience with multi-line phone systems
