What are the responsibilities and job description for the Registered Dental Assistant (RDA)/Dental Assistant (DA)/Orthodontic Assistant (OA) position at Santa Maria Pediatric Dental Group?
We are looking for a fun, friendly, registered dental assistant and dental assistant that loves working with children. We are looking for candidates with excellent customer service, who are well-organized with great attention to detail and are a team player. You should be able to follow instructions and follow all dental regulations. We want you to be skilled in providing direct patient care and able to accurately record patient records and treatment.
Responsibilities
- DA duties that include diagnostic quality x-rays and chairside assisting
- RDA duties that include coronal polish and sealants
- Prepare patients for treatment and ensure their comfort
- Set up instruments, equipment and material needed
- Sterilize instruments according to regulations
- Maintain accurate patient records including charting and treatment planning chairside
- Record accurate patient vitals
- Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions
- Keep the dental operatory clean and well-stocked
Skills
- RDA license with coronal polish and sealants preferred but not necessary
- Bilingual English and Spanish Preferred
- Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
- Understanding of health & safety regulations
- Excellent communication, people and computer skills
- Attention to detail and ability to record keep accurately
- Well-organized and reliable
- Team player attitude
- Ability to work full time Monday-Friday anywhere from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm
