Duties
- Operate POS systems to process retail sales transactions accurately and efficiently
- Handle cash register operations, including cash handling and cash drawer balancing
- Assist customers with product information and upselling opportunities
- Maintain knowledge of store products and merchandising standards to enhance customer experience
- Stock shelves and assist with inventory management as needed
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions and resolving issues promptly
- Ensure proper phone etiquette when answering customer inquiries via phone or in person
- Assist with product demos and promotional activities to increase sales
Requirements
- Previous retail sales or grocery store experience preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems and retail store product knowledge
- Strong communication skills, including bilingual abilities (preferred)
- Excellent customer service skills with a professional phone etiquette
- Basic math skills for retail math, cash handling, and balancing cash drawers
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Supervising experience is a plus but not required
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks such as stocking and cashiering
- Knowledge of merchandising standards and product placement strategies
