Animal Health Retail Sales Representative

Santa Cruz Animal Health has an immediate opening for an Animal Health Retail Sales Representative at its Weatherford, TX location. You must be available to work Sunday - Saturday and be available to work at trade shows, special events, and holidays when needed. This is a part time or full time, entry level position.

Santa Cruz Animal Health (SCAH) is a division of Santa Cruz Biotechnology, Inc. and it is rapidly expanding its Animal Health Sales team. SCAH is a leader in the distribution and development of Veterinary and Animal Health Care Products and offers a wide range of products for the optimal care of performance horses, livestock and companion animals.

SCAH also produces and distributes its own brand name product line of UltraCruz® Animal Health Supplements. Santa Cruz Biotechnology, Inc. is a world leader in the biomedical research market specializing in the development of research antibodies, biochemicals, and labware, in addition to its animal health care products.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following:

• Work independently to achieve sales growth for the Santa Cruz Animal Health product line in the U.S.A.
• Professionally receive inbound customer calls, chats and emails regarding orders and product questions.
• Communicate accurate information regarding products, prices, product availability, and current promotions to customers.
• Enter orders into computer system from customers in a timely, accurate manner.
• Coordinate with IT to ensure accurate product marketing on our website.
• Work as an effective team player to ensure the highest level of efficiency and success for the department and company.
• Excellent business communications skills (verbal, written, presentation), organizational skills and computer skills.
• Capacity to monitor and engage in relevant social discussions about our company, competitors, and/or industry, both from existing customers and leads for new audiences.
• Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs
• Available to work at trade shows when needed
• Animal Science degree required

Desired Skills:

• Strong computer skills
• Knowledge and experience with Livestock/Small Animal Health Care and maintenance preferred
• Experience in sales or customer service
• Familiarity with a wide variety of animal health products
• Actively involved and familiar with the livestock industry
• Use social media marketing strategies focusing on Twitter and Facebook and also other social media platforms, including Instagram, Pinterest, SnapChat, Vine, LinkedIn, Google , and YouTube.
