JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for the main lobby Reception Desk, breakfast lounge and overall security of the property. Works directly with the motel patrons for check-in, check-out, giving directions, taking messages, answering telephone calls and taking reservations. Cleans and maintains front office, kitchen and restroom.
Senior Front Desk Clerk - Track inventory and order supplies, responds to email, adds and subtracts rooms from 3rd party vendors. Assists in training Front Desk Agent. Coordinates Room Attendants assignments.
UNIQUE JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Basic mathematical, computer and clerical skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a friendly and positive and professional manner. Will be required to work weekends and holidays. Willingness to conform to company grooming standards.
Senior Front Desk Clerk- Computer competency with Microsoft365 suite and internal systems.
Ability to create a professional letter or email response to guest inquiry.

JOB TASKS (IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE):
- Greet motel guests.
- Count cash drawer at the beginning and ending of each shift.
- Register motel guests and assign appropriate room(s).
- Accept payment for hotel rooms and other charges and perform cash transactions.
- Enter guest information, payment source into a computerized database program.
- Answer multiline phone and takes accurate messages.
- Take telephone reservations as required.
- Prepare food, cuts up fruit and bakes muffins for continental breakfast.
- Operate washer / dryer and folds and stacks towels.
- Mop, vacuum, remove trash and shampoo carpet for front office, kitchen and restroom.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Review pre-audit material.
- Print audit and various reports.
- Balance credit card cash and other transactions to computer audit.
- Walk length of property each hour and reports any unusual or suspicious circumstances to security department.

- Ability to quickly learn and apply clerical office procedures and to keep complete and accurate records.
- Ability to operate multiline telephone console, do light typing and operate 10-key calculator.
