Position: Youth Development Professional
Reports to: Site Coordinator
Required Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 1:30pm - 5/6pm, and Fridays, 11:30am – 5/6pm.
Job Type: Part-time
Non-exempt: Classification
Work Location: One of ten Boys and Girls Club elementary school sites within the Santa Clarita Valley.
Position Overview:

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the planning, implementation, evaluation, and delivery of youth development programs under the supervision of the School Site Manager, Site Coordinator, or Clubhouse Director.
- Develop meaningful relationships with youth in an after-school and summer program setting.
- Engage with children, ensuring their safety, participation, and enjoyment in activities.
- Supervise and interact with children (K-6th grade) during after-school hours.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support program goals and initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications:
- MUST BE 18 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER.
- Minimum of one year of experience working with children.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with children in a positive and effective manner.
- Ability to lift to 25 pounds, bend, kneel and stand for extensive periods
- Some college coursework is preferred.
All selected candidates will be required to undergo a federal & state background check, pre-employment drug screening, and TB test.
