CLINICAL SUPERVISOR – Job Description

SUMMARY:

The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for overseeing, developing and implementing the company’s clinical program(s) via, for example, training of the clinical team to revamping and restructuring the clinical program, itself, to meet company growth and expansion goals.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee clinical staff, including interns, to ensure treatment program are conducted to meet client needs and assign treatment teams to clients
  • Plan and lead treatment meetings with all clinical team
  • Coordinate and implement clinical staff training
  • Direct daily activities of clients and clinical staff
  • Check completed notes of sessions and resolve inaccuracies
  • Oversee the scheduling of clinical staff’s client sessions
  • Monitor program efficiency and create necessary changes
  • Communicate client-care related program changes to treatment team
  • Conduct staff reviews and Skills & Competency Assessments
  • Maintain client records and clinical documentation
  • Monitor Performance Improvement Objectives and communicate goal objectives to clinical team
  • Ensure adherence to the required Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (hereinafter “HIPAA”) and all other privacy and confidentiality requirements as identified in the Life Landscaping Policy and Procedure Manual (hereinafter “Life Landscaping Policies Manual”) and by federal, state, local and county laws
  • Support the Company director(s) and leadership team in program development
  • Ensure clinical documentation (Biopsychosocial Assessment, Treatment Plan, Progress Notes and Discharge Summary) are completed in full and within expected timeline.
  • Maintain current knowledge and understanding of the laws, regulations, and policies that pertain to the organizational units business and use clinical judgment in his/her application;
  • Work with administration to ensure compliance with state certification requirements
  • All other duties as assigned

DIRECT REPORTS:

  • Clinicians i.e. Primary Care Therapists, Chemical Dependency Counselors, Psychiatrists, Case Managers, and Client Coordinators
  • Administrative/Clerical positions assigned to assist and work under the direction of the clinical team

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Licensed Psychologist (no minimum requirement), LMFT or LCSW (minimum 2 years)
  • Two or more years of related clinical experience, substance use disorders preferred, with experience supervising interns

QUALIFICATIONS & KNOWLEDGE:

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office – Outlook, Word, Excel
  • Working knowledge of Electronic Health Records chart software
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Demonstrates initiative, self-motivation and organization

  • Sensitivity to recognizing problem or potential problem and have ability to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions
  • Knowledge of mental health diagnoses and appropriate treatment methodologies including but not limited to addiction specific treatment
  • The ability to exhibit self-control, maintaining composure even in very difficult situations
  • Ability to work as a team member
  • Attention to detail and thorough in completing work responsibilities
  • Dependable, reliable and responsible in completing job duties

ABILITIES:

  • Oral Comprehension - The ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.

WORK STYLES:

  • Attention to Detail — Job requires being careful about detail and thorough in completing work tasks.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • This position requires light physical activity of walking, sitting, bending, climbing stairs
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds infrequently

REPORTS TO:

  • Chief Clinical Officer

CLASSIFICATION:

  • Exempt

FULL-TIME: $90,000-$110,000 (range) annually, plus benefits
