SUMMARY:
The Medical Mobile Van Driver is responsible for safely transporting and operating the medical van to various service locations while ensuring timely arrival for scheduled events. This role supports on-site operations by assisting with equipment setup and breakdown, maintaining vehicle readiness, and adhering to all safety and traffic regulations. In addition to driving responsibilities, the Medical Mobile Van Driver contributes to patient services by scheduling appointments, managing check-in/check-out processes, and supporting care coordination functions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Safe Driving: Operating the mobile van safely, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Delivery/Transportation: Transporting the mobile van efficiently to ensure on-time arrival for scheduled events.
- Loading and Unloading: Removing items from the vans for set-up and dismantling at the end of the event.
- Maintenance: Ensure vans are full of gas at the start of each event, to ensure a safe arrival. Transport mobile van to designated mechanic as needed.
- Flexibility: Adapt to varying work hours based on event schedules.
- Patient Outreach: Contact patients from an assigned list to schedule routine appointments.
- EDR Support: Schedule patients and manage check-in and check-out processes.
- Patient Access Navigator: Perform PAN duties for the medical mobile van.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Demonstrates understanding of and observe all SBNC policies, procedures, rules and regulations.
- Demonstrates successful work-related behaviors.
- Attends all required SBNC meetings and trainings.
- Interacts with patients, physicians, staff, vendors, and visitors in a positive manner that reflects the SBNC mission and philosophy.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Education: High School Diploma.
Experience:
- Experience as a Mobile Van Driver.
- Must possess and maintain a valid drivers license with a clean driving record. No history of violations or license suspensions. Any changes in license status or driving record must be reported immediately.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong communication skills.
Substance Free Workplace:
The Medical Mobile Van Driver may not use or test positive for controlled substances. The use of any substance that may impair the ability to safely operate a vehicle is strictly prohibited. A positive drug test will result in disqualification.
Physical Demands:
May be required to lift objects 25 pounds.
Sitting in normal seat for extended periods of time.
Finger dexterity is required to manipulate objects with fingers rather than the whole hand(s) or arm(s).
