Location: Santa Anita Convalescent Hospital

Facility Type: Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF)

Pay Rate: $37-$42 per hour, depending on experience

Employment Type: Full-Time

Position Summary:

We are seeking a licensed and compassionate Recreation Therapist to join our skilled nursing facility in Temple City, CA. The ideal candidate will have a passion for enhancing the lives of seniors through therapeutic and engaging recreational activities that promote mental, emotional, and physical well-being.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized and group recreational therapy programs
• Assess residents’ interests, abilities, and needs
• Document participation, progress, and outcomes in accordance with regulatory guidelines
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support each resident’s care plan
• Lead a variety of activities including music, arts and crafts, games, and sensory programs
  
  
  

Qualifications:

• Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) or Licensed Recreation Therapist in California
• Masters Degree
• Previous experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
