What are the responsibilities and job description for the Irrigation Technician position at Santa Ana Golf Club, Inc?
GENERAL POSITION DESCRIPTION: Under the direct supervision of the Golf Course Superintendent/Sr. Golf Course Superintendent, and/or Foreman, the Irrigation Technician is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the golf course irrigation systems.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High school graduate or GED certified. Previous experience in golf course irrigation operations preferred. Must possess valid Class D driver’s license upon date of hire and maintain validity throughout employment at SAGC, Inc.
- KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Knowledge of basic electricity and hydraulics related to an irrigation system.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair irrigation problems.
- Ability to install irrigation valves, pipes and heads.
- DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Repair & Maintain Irrigation System
- Identify parts and supplies needed for irrigation system.
- Involvement in daily course preparation, including cup setting, tee markers, and mowing.
- Occasionally directs a small labor force for special projects related to the irrigation system.
- Maintain a clean, safe work environment.
MACHINERY/EQUIPMENT USED: All golf course equipment, including tractors, hand tools, skid steer, loaders, mowers, backhoes, trucks, and all other maintenance equipment.

Pay: $17.50 - $21.00 per hour
