- Create, maintain, and update semi-monthly payroll data in the payroll system, including hourly and salary data and incentive bonus programs.
- Record changes affecting wages including taxes, direct deposits, and wage increases.
- Review payroll registers and correct errors to ensure accuracy of payroll.
- Conduct weekly payroll data entry within set timelines.
- Reconcile, code, and enter invoices and upload into accounting system for payment.
- Contacts suppliers, buyers, and employees to research questionable items on invoices.
- Performs basic AP analysis with knowledge of policies and procedures.
- Conduct initial orientation to newly hired employees, helping with the understanding of company benefits, payroll processes, and company policies based on employee handbook.
- Ensure all new hire paperwork and background checks are completed within state and federal guidelines.
- Assemble, audit, and maintain new hire personnel files for all active projects.
- Respond to verification of employment requests within 48 hours.
