Location - Edison, NJ / New York, NY (Hybrid)
Duration - 12 Months
Role Summary
We are seeking a skilled Business Analyst with strong domain expertise in Management Liability Insurance, including D&O, EPLI, and Corporate Liability. The role involves working closely with business stakeholders, underwriting, claims, and technology teams to drive requirements, process improvements, and digital transformation initiatives across insurance platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with underwriting, claims, legal, and compliance teams to gather and document business requirements
- Analyze and map processes related to:
- Directors & Officers (D&O) Liability
- Employment Practices Liability (EPLI)
- Corporate/Entity Liability
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria
- Support implementation of policy administration, claims, and billing systems
- Conduct gap analysis, impact analysis, and root cause analysis
- Facilitate workshops, stakeholder meetings, and requirement walkthroughs
- Work with QA teams to define test scenarios, test cases, and UAT support
- Ensure regulatory and compliance requirements are incorporated (e.g., governance and disclosures)
- Support data mapping, reporting, and analytics initiatives for underwriting and claims
Required Skills & Experience
- 5 10 years of experience as a Business Analyst in Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance
- Strong domain knowledge in Management Liability Insurance products:
- D&O Liability
- EPLI
- Fiduciary / Crime (preferred)
- Experience with insurance lifecycle:
- Policy administration
- Underwriting workflows
- Claims management
- Hands-on experience with tools:
- JIRA / Azure DevOps
- SQL (basic to intermediate)
- Visio / process modeling tools
- Strong documentation skills (BRD, FRD, user stories)
- Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Guidewire, Duck Creek, or other insurance platforms
- Understanding of regulatory frameworks and compliance in liability insurance
- Exposure to digital initiatives (API integrations, data platforms, or cloud like Azure/AWS)
- Certification such as CBAP, CCBA, or equivalent
