Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Hospice Nurse to join our team. Duties
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to hospice patients, focusing on pain management and symptom control.
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and emotional needs.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including catheter care and infectious disease care.
- Collaborate with physicians, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized care plans.
- Educate patients and families about disease processes, treatment options, and end-of-life planning.
- Provide support for family members during the grieving process and assist with family planning discussions when appropriate.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills in senior care and diagnostic evaluation.
Qualifications
- Current nursing license (RN) in the state of practice.
- Experience in hospice, palliative care, or related fields preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Compassionate demeanor with a focus on providing holistic patient-centered care.
- Ability to work flexible hours as needed to meet patient demands.
