Responsibilities
- Perform high-throughput PCR, cloning, and analytical workflows with precision and efficiency
- Apply molecular biology and microbiology techniques including restriction digestion, Gibson Assembly, agarose gel electrophoresis, and bacterial transformation
- Carry out experiments independently and interpret resulting data with minimal supervision
- Maintain accurate and thorough records using electronic laboratory notebook systems
- Deliver oral presentations of research findings during group meetings as needed
- Adhere to Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and all HSE guidelines on a daily basis
- Proficiency in molecular biology and microbiology techniques including PCR, cloning, and bacterial transformation
- Experience with Gibson Assembly and restriction digestion workflows
- Familiarity with electronic laboratory notebook platforms, preferably Benchling
- Ability to independently design, execute, and interpret experimental data
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and adapt in a high-throughput research environment
- Minimum of 2 to 3 years of relevant laboratory research experience, commensurate with level of education
- Candidates holding a Bachelor's degree must have 3 or more years of applicable experience
- Candidates holding a Master's degree must have 2 or more years of applicable experience
- Bachelor's degree in Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, or a related life sciences field
- Master's degree in a relevant scientific discipline preferred
