Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated Research Associate to join the Genomic Medicine Unit, supporting the development of gene therapies for neuromuscular disorders. The successful candidate will contribute to research initiatives by applying strong scientific skills in molecular and cellular biology, along with in vivo techniques. This role will collaborate closely with scientists within the team and across partner groups to support program goals.

Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute laboratory experiments and perform data analysis to support research programs.
- Develop and maintain cell-based screening assays for novel compounds.
- Support in vivo research studies and related experimental activities.
- Maintain a collaborative and team-oriented research environment.
- Present findings and communicate scientific updates effectively to internal teams.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with company quality standards, including electronic lab notebook requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or a related field with 2–4 years of laboratory research experience in an academic, biotechnology, or biopharmaceutical environment.
- Strong molecular biology experience, including techniques such as:
- RNA/DNA isolation
- qPCR and/or digital PCR assays
- ELISA
- Imaging techniques
- Experience with mammalian cell culture, including cell maintenance and nucleic acid transfection.
- Experience with animal handling, including mouse studies, injections, and tissue collection.
- Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to effectively communicate scientific concepts and maintain accurate research documentation.
- Master’s degree or Ph.D. in a relevant scientific discipline.
- Experience with cloning and vector design.
- Additional cell culture expertise.
- Experience working with mice, including handling, injections, and tissue collection.
- Previous pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry experience.
- Local candidates are preferred.
