Key Responsibilities Responsible for designing, developing, implementing, managing and securing APIs and support business project in their API journey, assessing the opportunities and simplifying the current architectures Manage the API Platform end to end: support architecture CoE, design, setup, and management of the platform on-premises and cloud providers such as Azure, AWS and Tencent Managing an API lifecycle and contribute to the set of services and associated technologies across the Digital R&D Tower’s organization, as well as following the related application portfolio roadmap API platform maintenance: troubleshooting, engaging with technology provider, customization of the platform to suit Sanofi’s strategic goals Support the customers’ success with the onboarding, maintenance and decommission of new and existing API's End to end delivery of API services (design, engineering, deployment, and operations including KPIs) Support and troubleshoot technical issues under stress context to fix unexpected downtimes and maximize uptime KPI Maintain the customers’ relationship and be the focal point for product service, technical and architectural guidance Ensure that the technology strategy of the Digital Tech organization has been aligned with the short-term and long-term business strategies. Provide the technical supervision and guidance for API Security, Capacity and Lifecycle management of the API management product Facilitate the transfer of knowhow, experiences, and good practices within the operational team and cross team Ensures quality and timely delivery of service to consumers Accountable for the performance, quality, security, efficiency, compliance aligned with legal and regulatory constraints, and consistent delivery of the API team services Provide input into annual and long-range or strategic planning exercise Required Skills & Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field 10 years of experience in API development and management in hybrid platforms and multi cloud Experience in healthcare or life sciences domain is a plus Knowledge of networking concepts and implementation Understanding of microservices architectures with demonstrable experience in the design, build, and operations of microservices in a production environment using container technology (Docker) Demonstrated understanding of modern User & Access Management Demonstrated understanding in formulating strategies, implement end to end service with the lifecycle of the products, Ability to evaluate risk and communicate it in a fact-based manner Proficient in-service management and AGILE framework/tools Strong communication and problem-solving skills Experience with ServiceNow or any other incident management tool is highly desirable Technical skills Knowledge in some of the leading API management solutions: Knowledge of API Management tools such as Kong, MuleSoft, Apigee, IBM etc preferable with certification Knowledge in Cloud API gateways such as Azure API Gateway and AWS API Gateways Knowledge of Infrastructure and Application Architecture Knowledge in Cloud and Application Hosting Architecture Good knowledge and experience around Infrastructure technologies (Solid knowledge in Cloud Azure, hosting platforms, API, …) Public and private clouds infrastructure and services i.e Azure and AWS. Azure and/or AWS Cloud Architect certification Legacy hosting platforms. LAN/WAN networking and security Operating systems (Linux and Windows) Excellent knowledge in Containers management (Openshift, AKS, EKS) Public and private clouds infrastructure and services i.e Azure, AWS Good knowledge of database management, admin and troubleshooting Compliance mindset: Sox, GxP, FDA Security management Soft skills Strong communication skills with a proven ability to understand key concepts and communicate effectively with technical staff, business stakeholders and senior management Proven ability to communicate technical concepts to nontechnical people to enhance understanding and drive decisions that lead to positive outcomes.
