The Shipping and Receiving Specialist is responsible for receiving, storing, and shipping inventory for our company. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in shipping and receiving, including experience with Oracle. This is a hands-on position and the candidate must be able to work effectively under strict time constraints in a dynamic environment. The shipping and receiving specialist must be detail-oriented and highly organized. He or she must also have excellent communication skills.

Job Description
The Shipping and Receiving Specialist is responsible for receiving, storing, and shipping inventory for our company. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in shipping and receiving, including experience with Oracle. This is a hands-on position and the candidate must be able to work effectively under strict time constraints in a dynamic environment. The shipping and receiving specialist must be detail-oriented and highly organized. He or she must also have excellent communication skills.
Nature Of Duties/Responsibilities
- Palletize, prep material, create packaging if needed.
- Create packing slips and Commercial invoices for both domestic and international packages and pallets timely and accurately.
- Work with Corporate Export team to ensure all international shipments meet company guidelines and export regulations.
- Maintain records of shipping documents in defined online databases and share such documents with required internal parties.
- Determine shipping method for material using knowledge of shipping procedures, routing guides and INCO terms.
- Contact carrier representatives (often done via carrier portals) to make shipping arrangements and to issue instructions for shipping and delivery of materials
- Lifts heavy items and use hand pallet jack and dolly.
- Data entry to create pack lists, commercial invoices and entries for virtual billing in Oracle
- Ensure all shipping and receiving Oracle transactions are performed timely and accurately.
- Follow all company and facility policies including quality, safety, conduct and attendance.
- This position requires working overtime when necessary.
- Minimum 4 years working experience in Shipping/Receiving, Warehouse Operations
- Proficiency in safety warehouse general practices
- Education: High School Diploma
- Oracle experience is required
- Computer Literacy and proficiency with email, data entry, basic software e.g., Google workspace, Microsoft Excel, Word
