Job Purpose

Nature Of Duties/Responsibilities
- Assist in the design, development, and implementation of automation systems for injection molding and secondary operations
- Troubleshoot and optimize robotic systems (3-, 4-, and 6-axis robots), automated cells, and manual processes
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on cycle time reduction, scrap reduction, and uptime improvement
- Help develop and update work instructions, process documentation, and standard operating procedures
- Collect and analyze production data to identify trends and improvement opportunities
- Assist with equipment validation, testing, and runoffs for new or modified automation systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, quality, and maintenance
- Support preventative maintenance and reliability improvements for automation equipment
- Currently pursuing a degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
- Basic understanding of manufacturing processes; exposure to plastic injection molding is a plus
- Interest in automation, robotics, and hands-on problem solving
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting mindset
- Familiarity with CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar)
- Basic knowledge of PLCs or robot programming is a plus but not required
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on manufacturing environment
