Production Planner/Scheduler (Medical Device)
Job Purpose:
Our Carrollton facility is looking for a Production Planner/Scheduler for our Medical Device manufacturing operations. Responsible for coordinating and developing production schedules on a daily or weekly basis to meet goals. Take stock of inventory levels and facilitate providing necessary materials and components.
Nature of Duties/Responsibilities:
The responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:
- Plan, schedule, coordinate and/or monitor products through the complete production cycle based on customer orders and delivery requirements
- Work from engineering plans and production specifications to establish production schedules, labor loading, and capacity requirements
- Coordinate production plans to ensure materials are provided according to schedules
- Make or recommend revisions to planned production schedules as necessary when schedules cannot be met
- Reschedule rework, unfinished parts, and assemblies, new production releases, and special orders
- Establish effective communication with various departments as necessary to meet production requirements
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5 years related experience
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing capabilities and processes
- A strong background in MRP
- An understanding of master scheduling and forecasting processes
- Working knowledge of FDA QSR (21 CFR Part 820), ISO 13485 and ability to understand other medical device regulations and standards
- Preferred experience with electronic multi level builds who is willing to work in a fast paced environment
- Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Strong computer skills with MS Office / Google suite experience
- Ability to create and understand reports in order to make production decisions.
- A desire to promote the success of the organization and production staff.
