Job Summary
The Medical Economics Analyst will report directly to the Director of Health Analytics, and it’s responsible for assisting in providing insights, analysis, reports and maintaining analytical findings. They are accountable for identifying key drivers and investigating areas of opportunities.
Essential Job Functions

- Analyze data and use analytical tools and techniques.
- Identify, analyze, and monitor trends or patterns based on complex data sets.
- Filter and “clean” data by reviewing reports and performance indicators to locate and correct specific issues.
- Produce spreadsheets, documents and presentations that are well documented and easy to follow.
- Perform data extraction, generally using SQL.
- Analyze claims and other healthcare data to identify areas of opportunity and provide analysis, conclusions.
- Provide analytics support to the different markets including FL,NJ, TN and others on roster and claims data using different sources of data from payers including Excel, flat files, etc.
- Networking analysis to manage utilization for In and Out of Network providers using different sources of data from payers including Equipo, and Ecw.
- Design cohorts for coordination of health and continuity of care using different sources of data from payers including Excel, flat files, etc.
- Virtual Medical Center population analysis using different sources of data including Google Analytics, proprietary internal reports, Excel, flat files, etc.
- Ensure data integrity through the corporate platforms using different processes of validation including active hands on meetings.

Required Education
- High School diploma required.
- Knowledge in insurance is a plus.

- Relevant experience (0-2 years).

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and SQL for retrieving specific information.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage tasks independently, take ownership of responsibilities and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Health Economics or related field preferred.
- Work Experience 1 year of healthcare experience preferred.
