Job Summary
The Shipping & Receiving Clerk is responsible for ensuring the accurate receipt, storage, and shipment of materials and finished goods in support of manufacturing operations. This position plays a key role in maintaining inventory accuracy, preparing customer shipments, receiving incoming deliveries, and ensuring all shipping and receiving activities comply with company quality standards, safety requirements, and applicable regulations.

Job Summary
The Shipping & Receiving Clerk is responsible for ensuring the accurate receipt, storage, and shipment of materials and finished goods in support of manufacturing operations. This position plays a key role in maintaining inventory accuracy, preparing customer shipments, receiving incoming deliveries, and ensuring all shipping and receiving activities comply with company quality standards, safety requirements, and applicable regulations.
Essential Functions
- Receive incoming materials, verify quantities and inspect shipments for damage or discrepancies.
- Accurately unload, identify, label, and store incoming inventory in designated warehouse locations.
- Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipment according to specifications and shipping schedules.
- Generate shipping documentation including packing slips, bills of lading, shipping labels, and other required paperwork.
- Coordinate shipments with approved freight carriers and package delivery services.
- Verify finished goods against production orders and customer requirements prior to shipment.
- Maintain accurate inventory transactions within the ERP or inventory management system.
- Perform routine cycle counts and assist with physical inventories.
- Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
- Load and unload trucks while ensuring product integrity and compliance with safety standards.
- Maintain organization and cleanliness throughout the shipping and receiving areas.
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and movement of materials to prevent damage or contamination.
- Communicate with Production, Quality, Customer Service, Purchasing, and Planning to resolve shipping or receiving issues.
- Assist with expediting materials needed to support production schedules.
- Identify inventory discrepancies and work with appropriate departments to resolve issues.
- Follow all company policies, OSHA safety regulations, GMP requirements, and ISO quality standards.
- Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintain a safe work environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High School (HS) Diploma or equivalent required.
- 3 years of relevant experience.
- Basic Microsoft Office skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Must be forklift certified for Class 1 to 7.
- Must be able to perform physical labor, lifting up to 35 pounds.
- Good math and reading skills.
- Good communication (both oral and written) skills.
- Ability to use good judgment.
- Dependable and reliable.
- Experience working with ERP systems, work order, and/or warehouse management systems a plus (Syteline preferred).
- Requires valid Driver License and proof of automobile insurance.

Salary : $18 - $22
