Part-Time Princess Sunset Cruise Yacht Captain
Marriott Sanibel Harbour Resort and Spa looking for an experienced Part-Time/On-Call Captain with a 100-ton vessel license who can operate day-to-day sunset and brunch cruises while maintaining a professional, clean, and well-working yacht environment.
The Captain would be responsible for scheduling the crew, ordering necessary supplies, serving hot food/drink hot and cold food/drink cold according to corporate standards while maximizing guest satisfaction. The Captain would be also responsible for preparing the yacht and passing all the tests and requirements cost guard, health department, and state requiring.
Our waterfront setting on beautiful San Carlos Bay provides a picturesque backdrop for memorable cruises, both in the morning or at sunset. The Sanibel Harbour Princess, our 100-foot private yacht, hosts a sumptuous feast while touring nearby waterways.

Requirements:
The Captain:
- Monitors and helps in the preparation of the yacht, vessel traffic, and positioning of vessels.
- Ensures the safe and effective operation of the vessel.
- Assist Master Captain with plans, directs, and monitors the budget and serves as primary contact for the marine operations of the Resort. Assists with budget and P&L of the Princess Yacht.
- Maintains guest's contacts to ensure timely communication with the guests about the reservations and requests as well as dietary needs.
Physical demands:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, talk, and hear.
- The employee is occasionally required to sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, stand and walk for long periods of time.
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25-50 pounds.
Communication:
- Excellent English verbal and good written skills required.
- Second language knowledge is a plus.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
Computer Skills:
- Ability to use Microsoft Office programs.
- Ability to use Opentable platform
