Sango Academy is seeking a caring, dependable, and experienced Lead Teacher for our 3-year-old classroom. The ideal candidate will create a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment that supports the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development of young children. This position requires strong classroom management skills, a passion for early childhood education, and the ability to lead classroom routines with confidence and professionalism.

Duties

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities aligned with developmental standards
• Create a warm, structured, and engaging classroom environment
• Support children’s social-emotional development and independence
• Maintain classroom schedules, routines, and daily documentation
• Supervise and guide assistant teachers or support staff in the classroom
• Communicate effectively and professionally with parents and administration
• Ensure compliance with state licensing regulations and center policies
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment

Requirements

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to pass a background check and all required screenings
• Experience working with preschool-aged children (preferred)
• Strong classroom management and organizational skills
• Reliable, punctual, and professional demeanor
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
• Clear communication skills, both written and verbal
• Genuine love for working with young children
